Following the successful completion of a doctoral study program at the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca (2020), the doctoral thesis was published at the end of 2022 and proposes an exciting topic: moral damages in the mandatory auto liability insurance.
Thus, in the conditions in which the Romanian legislator did not concern himself with the problem of quantifying the moral damages due to the victims of traffic accidents, Bogdan Ioniță assumed the task of structuring the relevant jurisprudence in Romania for a decade. The result is a work that combines theoretical principles with a practical study that is particularly valuable and useful especially for lawyers. In search of benchmarks, the work also presents the relevant jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the European Union, but also the method of establishing moral damages in several European states (Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Spain or France).
Bogdan Ioniță is a lawyer in the Arad Bar and has been part of the Costaș, Negru & Asociații team since 2013, in a collaboration based on the Best Friends Team Concept.
